Zorki-4
Famous Zorki-4 rangefinder cameras were produced in USSR from 1956
to 1973. This one was made in 1964. This model got it "all together"
the evolutionary development of the early Leica with the development of
flash synchronization, self timer, and the finest trouble free shutter
mechanism. Interchangeable removable back, with dual key lock, makes
easy access for loading and unloading film,the interior looks new,as
does the spool. Reinforced tripod socket with American size thread.
Some features of this camera are: a rangefinder coupled to a large very
bright viewfinder, a diopter adjustment for eyeglass wearers, a
self-timer, a wide range of shutter speed (including "professional"
1/1000).
The plant produced several modifications of the Zorki-4
camera, mostly incorporating minor and cosmetic changes. With the
various modifications, there were two main differences:
1) 1956-1958 first modification of Zorki-4 with an old set of shutter speeds:
1, 1/2,
1/5, 1/10, 1,25, 1/50, 1/100, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, B
2) 1959-1973 a set of shutter speeds was modified according to the new state standards:
1, 1/2,
1/4, 1/15, 1,30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, B
This
particular camera is the second modification of the Zorki-4, produced
from 1959 to 1973. The camera is in good cosmetic and working
condition, but has small signes of age on body. The shutter is working
properly on all speeds. The body shows normal wear. The curtains are in
excellent shape. The RF/VF is clear and sharp. The lens is in good
condition, it is clean and clear, free of fog, fungus, dirt or
scratches, but has signes of age on metall. All pictures in the
description are actual.
This variant of cameras has name "Zorki" and speeds digits non-painted, but engraved. Rare variant of camera.
